When I started playing around with stamped backgrounds two weekends ago, I chose to create one that had very subdued tones. Just by happenstance this week, I rediscovered this beautiful collage image in the very same hues! Don't you love it when a card comes together!
I started with a very simple background. The first layer is our Almanac Background in Antique Linen Distress Ink. Stamped over using Old Paper Distress Ink this was the Crazy Dots Background. The last layer was done in Brushed Corduroy with the Netted Background. If you like playing with stamped backgrounds too, come play with us at RRD where the Rebel Challenge is to "Use a Stamped Background".
The vintage collage image went beautifully with these soft browns but I wanted some pop so I went with dramatic red! I think it gave the card some zing. I matted the background panel, the collage image and the sentiment with red and I was done!
Stamps: Crazy Dot background and sentiment from Snow Hugs, Netted background from Just Sayin', and Almanac page background from Relish Reading (Rogue Redhead Designs)
Collage Image: unknown - was in my lovely box of random images - probably Enchanted Mercantile?
Cardstock: Very Vanilla and Real Red (Stampin Up)
Ink: Old Paper, Antique Linen, and Brushed Corduroy (Ranger Distress Inks)
Embellishment: self adhesive bow
