Guess this card is a good finish to my obsession with green this month. Over at Gingersnap Creations, they have a new color challenge - Glorious Greens!
I made two cards for this fab challenge, maybe because I've been drawn to greens lately! The first one, I made with the newly released Carnival Dreams mini plate from Rogue Redhead Designs. The lsyout was inspired by the Sweet Spot sketch where the mandate was not only to use the sketch but also to make a non-traditional valentine.
My Sweetie in Greens
Stamps: carnival couple from Carnival Dreams plate and sentiment from Candy Kisses plate (Rogue Redhead Designs)
Paper: all scraps from my basket
Cardstock: Always Artichoke and Whisper White (Stampin Up)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (StazOn)
Copics: B12, B14, E00, E02, E07, E09, E11, G20, G21, G82, G85, and G99
Embellishment: polka dot ribbon
Tools: tab punch (Stampin Up)
I will also be entering this card into the following challenges:
Do You Stack Up - Patterned Paper
Cupcake Craft Challenges - All You Need is Love
Of course, I just could not put my green papers and inks away, so it was on to Card #2!
I picked this happy snowman from Stampotique. He was painted on watercolor paper with distress inks. I really like the soft look of painted ink.
Stamp: Chilly (Stampotique)
Paper: Old Olive patterned paper (Stampin Up); watercolor paper
Cardstock: Old Olive and Always Artichoke (Stampin Up)
Ink: Jet Black (StazOn); various distress inks (Ranger)
Tools: oval cutter (Creative Memories)
