Faux Sanding Gone Subtle

I thought this card, with its message of natural beauty, would be a perfect start to a cheerful and happy day! Over at Gingersnap Creations, we are celebrating Happiness all month! Check out our blog candy! It's all about Happiness!

We're also happy to be accepting applications for our new Gingersnap Creations Design Team until August 15th! No prior design team experience required. Creativity is the only qualifitication.

Okay, onto the card....

I obviously loved this wonderful faux sanding technique from the latest Technique Junkies newsletter. I made quite a few cards with it. Here's a more subtle take on this fun background.

Something of the Marvelous
Stamps: flower from Garden plate (Rare Image Rubber Stamps); sentiment (Repeat Impressions)
Cardstock: Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White (Stampin Up); glossy cardstock (Stampland Chicago)
Ink: Rich Cocoa (Memento); Chalk Ocean Breeze Rainbow Pad (ColorBox)
Copics: E25, Y11, Y13, Y15, and YR23
Embellishments: 1/4" dark brown gingham ribbon
Other: gesso

Have a happy day filled with marvelous natural beauty!
