3 New Plates from Artistic Outpost!

When I saw these great new collections from Artistic Outpost, I begged to be able to play with all three new plates. I just couldn't resist!

These new collections from Artistic Outpost have a very natural vintage style, an ode to simpler times and were inspired by quotes from the pen of fabulous Henry David Thoreau. His simple advice to "simplify, simplify" are words we should use in our daily life - the hustle and bustle of work, home, and community - as well as in our art. How often do we just need to stamp! Just the act of simply putting ink to rubber is calming and rewarding. Over at Artistic Outpost, they hope you find simple inspiration to create something that makes you happy.

The Outpost: This collection is inspired by one of my favorite plates, the Serenity signature set, and continues this theme with a much larger image of the "outpost". You will love the versatility of this collection including the ATC sized farm house, and the nostalgic pocket watch.

Stamps: farm scene and sentiment from The Outpost plate (Artistic Outpost)
Cardstock: Brocade Blue and Basic Black (Stampin Up); glossy cardstock
Ink: Canary, Royal Blue, Sky Blue, Chestnut, and Stucco (ColorBox); Tuxedo Black (Memento)

Old Grist Mill: As a New Englander, I just fell in love with this mill and covered bridge instantly. Can't you just hear the "clippety, clop" of horse hoofbeats going over each floor board? Enjoy the simple beauty of these warm, vintage images.

Stamps: covered bridge and sentiment from Old Grist Mill plate (Artistic Outpost)
Paper: ; Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black (Stampin Up); watercolor paper
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Summer Sun, River Rock and Really Rust (Stampin Up); Rich Cocoa (Memento)

Generation Redux: These vintage images are grunged up a bit in a unique collage style. They are designed to go with not only The Outpost and Old Grist Mill, but think of using them with Home as well. I have become an ATC nut and also paired this great set with Artistic Outpost's Mini Masterpiece plate. Photo stamps are a perfect way to add that "human" element to your creations.

Stamps: collage stamp, coffee block and numbers from Generations Redux plate; leaf and sunflower from The Old Grist Mill plate; pocket watch and leaf from The Outpost plate (Artistic Outpost)
Paper: Whisper White (Stampin Up)
Ink: Brilliant Blue and Bashful Blue (Stampin Up); black marker (Marvy)

  9. FANTASTIC.

I am really drawn to the first two plates especially and love your samples. The third plate isnt so wow for me but what you've done with it gives a much lighter approach to the images than perhaps my first thoughts allowed and really changed my opinion of it.

    Wonderful post. Beautiful fresh ideas.
