Motif Monday - Eyelets

31 Days of Holiday Cards Continue!

I have a lot of eyelets and a lovely Crop-a-dial as well as two or three eyelet setting sets. I often forget to use these fun embellishments. What better way to add a little sparkle to a card?

Dig out those eyelets and think about how many different ways they can be used. Try creating a row or line of eyelets. Use eyelets to add ribbon or twine to your card. Use eyelets as the middle of a flower or to attach another embellishment. Add some eyelet ornaments to a Christmas tree stamp or some flames to a Chanukah menorah. There are dozens of possibilities.

I decided to use mine to create a "hanging picture" effect. To get the brad placement correct, I pierced the hole after everything else was in place but not mounted on the card base.
