I have experimented with various "earrings" on this card only to have them all drop off, smudge and otherwise mess with my image so now I just respect the original artist and leave it as originally painted.
I tied the contrast color to a focal point in the picture, the vase of tulips.
I loved the soft, homey look of this lovely stamp from Northwoods Rubber Stamps. I colored the image in with watercolor pencils and then used a blender pen to create a softer look.
I was pleasantly surprised at how the different colors gave each card a different attitude.
